Study Desk

This was done to me, because I kept Your Commandments.

At halves of the night I will rise to give thanks to You because of Your righteous judgments.

My flesh has shivered because of Your fear; and I have feared Your judgments.

I saw those acting deceitfully and was grieved, because they did not keep Your Word.

I praise You seven times a day because of Your righteous judgments.

Because of my brothers and my companions, I will now say, Peace be in you.

Because of the house of Jehovah, our God, I will seek your good.

All the kings of the earth shall thank You, O Jehovah, because they have heard the Words of Your mouth.

O Jehovah, because of Your name, enliven me; in Your righteousness, bring my soul out of distress.

Praise Jehovah; for it is good to sing praise to our God; because praise is delightful and becoming.

Because I called, and you refused; I stretch out a hand, and none inclines,

The violence of the wicked drags them down, because they refuse to do justice.

Rob not the poor because he is poor, and oppress not the afflicted in the gate.

My son, eat honey because it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to your palate;

Do not burn in anger because of evildoers, and do not envy the wicked;

Because of transgression in a land, many are its rulers, but it is prolonged by a man who has understanding, who knows right .

So then I hated life; because the work that is done under the sun is evil to me; for all is vanity and striving after wind.

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.

For he shall not much remember the days of his life, because God answers him in the joy of his heart.

Because the king's word is that which has power; who then will say to him, What are you doing?
