So Saul died for his sin against the Lord, because he did not keep the Word of the Lord. He had asked a woman who spoke with spirits what he should do.

These are the men who came to David at Ziklag, while David was still hidden because of Saul the son of Kish. They were among the strong men who helped him in war.

Then the anger of the Lord burned against Uzza. So He killed him because Uzza had put out his hand to the special box of God, so before God he died.

Then David became angry because the Lord had killed Uzza in His anger. That place is called Perez-uzza to this day.

David understood that the Lord had made him to be king of Israel. He knew that his nation was very honored because of God's people Israel.

Chenaniah, head of the Levites, was to lead the singing. He taught the singing because he was able.

But Joab did not number Levi and Benjamin among them because he did not like what the king had told him to do.
