Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those that have been persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when [men] shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for they so persecuted the prophets that were before you.

You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost its savor, how shall it be salted? it is from then on good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men.

For truly I say to you, Until heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no way pass away from the law, until all things be accomplished.

For I say to you, that except your righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no way enter into the kingdom of heaven.

And if your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not your whole body be cast into hell.

but I say to you, that every one that divorces his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, makes her commit adultery: and whoever marries her that has been divorced commits adultery.

but I say to you, don't swear at all; neither by the heaven, for it is the throne of God;

nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.

Neither shall you swear by your head, for you can't make one hair white or black.

You have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

but I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those that persecute you;

that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

For if you love those that love you, what reward do you have? don't even the publicans do the same?

And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites: for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Truly I say to you, They have received their reward.

And in praying don't use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Therefore don't be like them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him.
