Because of your indignation and your wrath: For you have taken me up, and cast me away.

Because they were rebellious against his spirit, And he spoke unadvisedly with his lips.

Because they rebelled against the words of God, And despised the counsel of the Most High:

Fools because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths: Their soul melts away because of trouble.

Then they are glad because they are quiet; So he brings them to their desired haven.

Because he did not remember to show kindness, But persecuted the poor and needy man, And the broken in heart, to slay [them].

But deal with me, O Yahweh the Lord, for your name's sake: Because your loving-kindness is good, deliver me;

I love Yahweh, because he hears My voice and my supplications.

Because he has inclined his ear to me, Therefore I will call [on him] as long as I live.

ZAYIN Remember the word to your slave, Because you have made me to hope.

Hot indignation has taken hold on me, Because of the wicked that forsake your law.

This I have had, Because I have kept your precepts.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks to you Because of your righteous ordinances.

Those that fear you shall see me and be glad, Because I have hoped in your word.

I understand more than the aged, Because I have kept your precepts.

Streams of water run down my eyes, Because they do not observe your law.

My zeal has consumed me, Because my adversaries have forgotten your words.

I saw the treacherous, and was grieved, Because they do not observe your word.

Seven times a day I praise you, Because of your righteous ordinances.
