Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you compass sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he has become so, you make him twofold more a son of hell than yourselves.

You fools and blind men: for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that has sanctified the gold?

You blind men: for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift?

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you tithe mint and anise and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these you ought to have done, and not to have left the other undone.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but inside they are full from extortion and lack of self-control.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like whited tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all impurity.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the tombs of the righteous,

For I say to you, You shall not see me from now on, until you shall say, Blessed [is] he that comes in the name of the Lord.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray.

And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not troubled: for [these things] must surely come to pass; but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in diverse places.

Then they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all the nations for my name's sake.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations; and then the end shall come.

for then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor shall ever be.

And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

For as the lightning comes forth from the east, and is seen even to the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.

For as [were] the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man.

For as in those days which were before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

Watch therefore: for you don't know on what day your Lord comes.
