Pray for us: for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things.

But I exhort you, brothers, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have written to you in few words.

But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing: for he that doubts is like the surge of the sea driven by the wind and tossed.

For do not let that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord;

For the sun rises with the scorching wind, and withers the grass: and the flower thereof falls, and the grace of the fashion of it perishes: so also shall the rich man fade away in his goings.

Blessed is the man that endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which [the Lord] promised to those that love him.

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God can't be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no man:

for the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God.

For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror:

for he looks at himself, and goes away, and right away forgets what manner of man he was.

For if there comes into your synagogue a man with a gold ring, in fine clothing, and there comes in also a poor man in vile clothing;

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one [point], he has become guilty of all.

For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if you do not commit adultery, but kill, you have become a transgressor of the law.

For judgment [is] without mercy to him that has shown no mercy: mercy glories against judgment.

and the scripture was fulfilled which says, And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness; and he was called the friend of God.

For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.

For in many things we all stumble. If any doesn't stumble in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.

For every kind of beasts and birds, of creeping things and things in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind.

For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed.

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those that make peace.
