Look upon me, and be merciful to me, because I love thy name.

Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

Zeal hath consumed me because thine enemies have forgotten thy word.

Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Because forgiveness comes from thee, thou mayest be revered.

I will praise thee, because of the wonders which thou hast done; marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knows right well.

Because thou art my God, thy gentle spirit shall lead me into the way of life.

Because they hated knowledge, and did not choose the worship of the LORD.

Because I give you good doctrine, do not forsake my law.

Do this now, my son, and deliver yourself because, for the sake of your friend, you have fallen into the hands of your enemies; go, therefore, and stir up your friend for whom you have become surety to meet his obligation.

The wicked oppresses the righteous when he meets him, because he hates those who wait and hope.

Every one who is proud in his heart is an abomination to the LORD; and he who stretches out his hand against his neighbor shall not be pardoned because of this evil.

A fool has no delight in wisdom, because his mind devises folly.

The destruction of the wicked shall come upon them because they refused to do justice.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; because they bring it in an unjust way.

Do not oppress the poor because he is poor; neither afflict the needy in the gate.

Do not become a surety for a debt simply because you are ashamed to turn down those who ask you,

My son, eat honey because it is good, and the honeycomb, which is sweet to your taste.

Because of the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof; but by righteous men who know justice the stability thereof shall be prolonged.

Because in much wisdom there is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.
