And he spoke to him yet again, and said, Perhaps there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for the forty's sake.

And he said, Seeing now that I have taken on myself to speak to the Lord: perhaps there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for the twenty's sake.

And he said, Oh don't let the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: perhaps ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for the ten's sake.

for we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxed great before Yahweh: and Yahweh has sent us to destroy it.

And Lot went out, and spoke to his sons-in-law, who married his daughters, and said, Get up, go out of this place; for Yahweh will destroy the city. But he seemed to his sons-in-law as one that mocked.

And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for your life; don't look behind you, neither stay in all the Plain; escape to the mountain, or else you will be consumed.

Hurry, escape there; for I can't do anything until you have come there. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.

But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, Look, you are but a dead man, because of the woman whom you have taken. For she is a man's wife.

Now therefore restore the man's wife. For he is a prophet, and he shall pray for you, and you shall live. And if you don't restore her, know you that you shall surely die, you, and all that are yours.

And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place. And they will slay me for my wife's sake.

And to Sarah he said, See, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. Look, it is for you a covering of the eyes to all that are with you. And in respect of all you are righted.

For Yahweh had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abraham's wife.

And she said, Who would have said to Abraham, that Sarah should nurse sons? For I have borne him a son in his old age.

Therefore she said to Abraham, Cast out this slave and her son. For the son of this slave shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

And God said to Abraham, Don't let it be grievous in your sight because of the lad, and because of your slave. In all that Sarah says to you, listen to her voice. For in Isaac shall your seed be called.

And she went, and she sat down across from him a good way off, as it were a bowshot. For she said, Don't let me see the child's death. And she sat opposite him, and lifted up her voice, and wept.

And God heard the voice of the lad. And the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, What ails you, Hagar? Don't be afraid. For God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.

Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in your hand. For I will make him a great nation.

And he said, Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, even Isaac, and go into the land of Moriah. And offer him there for a burnt-offering on one of the mountains which I will tell you of.
