It happened, as her soul was departing (for she died), that she named him Ben-oni, but his father named him Binyamin.

His brothers envied him; but his father kept this saying in mind.

But the LORD was with Yosef, and showed kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

but he hanged the chief baker, as Yosef had interpreted to them.

Yet the chief butler didn't remember Yosef, but forgot him.

It happened in the morning that his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the magicians of Mitzrayim, and all the wise men of it. Par`oh told them his dream, but there was no one who could interpret them to Par`oh.

and when they had eaten them up, it couldn't be known that they had eaten them, but they were still ill-favored, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

The thin ears swallowed up the seven good ears. I told it to the magicians; but there was no one who could explain it to me."

The seven years of famine began to come, just as Yosef had said. There was famine in all lands, but in all the land of Mitzrayim there was bread.

But Ya`akov didn't send Binyamin, Yosef's brother, with his brothers; for he said, "Lest perhaps harm befall him."

Yosef saw his brothers, and he recognized them, but acted like a stranger to them, and spoke roughly with them. He said to them, "Where did you come from?" They said, "From the land of Kana`an to buy food."

Yosef recognized his brothers, but they didn't recognize him.
