Yet my friends laugh at me, for I call on God and expect an answer. I am a just and blameless man, yet they laugh at me.

Yet I have done no wrong, and my prayer is pure.

And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God!

yet they will vanish forever, thrown away like their own dung. Those who knew them will ask, ‘Where are they?'

And yet they say to God, ‘Go away. We want no part of you and your ways.

"Yet the light of the wicked never seems to be extinguished. Do they ever have trouble? Does God distribute sorrows to them in anger?

Yet he was the one who filled their homes with good things, so I will have nothing to do with that kind of thinking.

The groans of the dying rise from the city, and the wounded cry for help, yet God ignores their moaning.

But you have seen all this, yet you say all these useless things to me.

Yet they don't ask, ‘Where is God my Creator, the one who gives songs in the night?

I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the Lord was watching over me.

Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.

Yet they succeed in everything they do. They do not see your punishment awaiting them. They sneer at all their enemies.

Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.

Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.

Yet you brought me safely from my mother's womb and led me to trust you at my mother's breast.

His righteous acts will be told to those not yet born. They will hear about everything he has done.

Yet I am confident I will see the Lord 's goodness while I am here in the land of the living.

Yet when they were ill, I grieved for them. I denied myself by fasting for them, but my prayers returned unanswered.

Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread.
