And not finding by what [way] they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his couch into the midst before Jesus.

he is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well built.

And other fell on the rock; and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.

Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done: and he was much perplexed, because it was said by some, that John was risen from the dead;

And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he does not follow with us.

And they did not receive him, because his face was [as though he were] going to Jerusalem.

I say to you, Though he will not rise and give him because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will arise and give him as many as he needs.

And if Satan also is divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.

and he reasoned to himself, saying, What shall I do, because I don't have a place to bestow my fruits?

And he answered and said to them, Do you think that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they have suffered these things?

And the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the Sabbath.

and you shall be blessed; because they don't have [the means] to recompense you: for you shall be recompensed in the resurrection of the just.

And he said to him, Your brother has come; and your father has killed the fatted calf, because he has received him safe and sound.

And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.

Does he thank the slave because he did the things that were commanded?

yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest she wear me out by her continual coming.

And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature.

And as they heard these things, he added and spoke a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and [because] they supposed that the kingdom of God was immediately to appear.

And he said to him, Well done, you good slave: because you were found faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.

for I feared you, because you are an austere man: you take up that which you did not lay down, and reap that which you did not sow.
