And a mans uncle or one who is near to him shall carry the dead body out of the house; and he shall say to him who is in the house, Is there any one else in the house with you? And he shall say, There is no one, because they have perished; for they did not mention the name of the LORD.

They have driven you to the border; all the men of your confederacy have deceived you and prevailed against you; the men who were at peace with you and who ate your bread have laid an ambush for you, because Esau has no understanding in him.

Because of the slaughter and because of the violence against your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off for ever.

And the LORD God commanded a tender shoot of gourd to spring up, and it sprang up and came over Jonah, and became a shade over his head, and comforted him of his grief. So Jonah was exceedingly glad because of the gourd.

All this will happen because of the wickedness of Jacob and the sins of the house of Israel. What is the wickedness of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what is the sin of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?

Arise and go away; for this is no place for your rest, because the pollution will bring destruction, and the destruction will be grievous.

When a man walks in the spirit of falsehood and deception, overwhelmed with wine and drunkenness, he does so because of the anguish of this people.

Then the seers shall be ashamed, and the diviners confounded; yea, they shall all cover their lips because God will not answer them.

Because from the lowest among them up to their rulers they are rebellious, they stagger in their drunkenness; they have eaten and are filled with dry rubbish.

Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the harlot that was beautiful and mistress of witchcrafts, who brings up nations through her whoredoms and tribes through her witchcraft,

You also shall be grieved and you shall be despised; you also shall seek help because of your enemies.

There shall the fire devour you, the sword shall cut you off; it shall devour you like the crawling locust because you have become many like the crawling locust and multiplied like the locust.

O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear? I cry to thee because of the plunderers, and thou wilt not deliver!

Therefore they sacrifice to their net and burn incense to their drag, because by them their portion is made rich, and their food dainty.
