He lies down rich, but he shall not be gathered [to his fathers]; He opens his eyes, and he is not.

But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?

But now those that are younger than I have me in derision, Whose fathers I disdained to set with the dogs of my flock.

(The sojourner has not lodged in the street; But I have opened my doors to the traveler);

But there is a spirit in common man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.

But none says, Where is God my Maker, Who gives songs in the night,

There they cry, but none gives answer, Because of the pride of evil men.

But now, because he has not visited in his anger, Neither does he greatly regard foolishness;

He does not preserve the life of the wicked, But gives to the afflicted [their] right.

He doesn't withdraw his eyes from the righteous: But with kings on the throne he sets them forever, and they are exalted.

But if they don't listen, they shall perish by the sword, And they shall die without knowledge.

But those that are godless in heart lay up anger: They don't cry for help when he binds them.

But you are full of the judgment of the wicked: Judgment and justice take hold [on you].

And now men don't see the light which is bright in the skies; But the wind passes, and clears them.

And said, This far you shall come, but no further; And here shall your proud waves be stayed?

The wings of the ostrich wave proudly; [But] is it a pious plumage and down?

Once I have spoken, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.

I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees you:

But rather in the law of Yahweh, does he delight; and in his law does he meditate, day and night.

Not so are the wicked: but rather they are like chaff, which is blown away by the wind.
