So I took the small scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach was bitter.Ezekiel 2:10; 3:3;">[xr]

But don't measure the courtyard outside the temple. Leave that out, because it is given to the nations, and they will trample the Holy City[fn] for forty-two months.Psalm 79:1; Ezekiel 40:17,20; Daniel 8:10; Luke 21:24; Revelation 13:5;">[xr]

But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet. Those who watched them were terrified.Ezekiel 37:5,9-10,14; Revelation 11:9;">[xr]

The nations were angry,Daniel 7:9-10; Revelation 6:10; 18:6; 19:5; 13:10;">[xr] but your wrath has come. It is time for the dead to be judged - to reward your servants, the prophets, the saints, and all who fear your name, both unimportant and important, and to destroy those who destroy the earth."

She gave birth to a son, a boy, who is to ruleshepherd">[fn] all the nations with an iron scepter. But her child was snatched away and taken to God and to his throne.Psalm 2:9; Revelation 2:27; 19:15;">[xr]

But it was not strong enough, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.

The beast that was and is no longer is the eighth king,king">[fn] but it belongs with the seven kingskings">[fn] and goes to its destruction.Revelation 17:8;">[xr]

They will wage war against the lamb, but the lamb will conquer them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings. Those who are called, chosen, and faithful are with him."Deuteronomy 10:17; Jeremiah 50:44-45; 1 Timothy 6:15; Revelation 14:4; 16:14;">[xr]

I bowed down at his feet to worship him, but he told me, "Don't do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold on to the testimony of Jesus. But people who are cowardly, unfaithful, detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars will find themselves inwill have their part in">[fn] the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. But he told me, "Don't do that! I am a fellow servant with you, your brothers the prophets, and those who keep the words in this book. Worship God!"Revelation 19:10;">[xr]
