And Laban said to him, Surely you are my bone and my flesh. And t he stayed with him for a month.

And Laban said to Jacob, Because you are my kinsman, should you therefore work for me for nothing? Tell me, what shall your wages be?

And Jacob loved Rachel; and he said, I will serve you seven years for Rachel, your younger daughter.

Thus Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed to him but a few days because he was in love with her.

And Jacob said to Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.

And Laban gave Zilpah his maid to his daughter Leah for a servant.

And it came to pass in the morning, behold, it was Leah; and Jacob said to Laban, What is this thing that you have done to me? Did not I serve with you for Rachel? Why then have you deceived me?

Finish the wedding feast for this one, and then I will give you the other also for the service which you shall serve with me yet another seven years.

And Leah conceived, and bore a son, and she called his name Reuben; for she said, Because the LORD has seen my affliction, now therefore my husband will love me.

But Leah said to her, Is it not enough for you that you have taken away my husband? And would you take away my sows mandrakes also? And Rachel said, He may lie with you tonight for your sons mandrakes.

And when Jacob came home from the field in the evening, Leah went out to meet him, and said, You must come in unto me; for surely I have hired you with my sons mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.

And Leah said, God has enriched me exceedingly; now my husband will surely have more affection for me, because I have borne him six sons; so she called his name Zebulun.

Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served you, and let me go; for you know the service which I have rendered you.

And Laban said to Jacob, If I have found favor in your eyes, I have proven by experience that the LORD has blessed me for your sake.

For it was little which you had before I came, and now it has increased abundantly; and the LORD has blessed you for my sake; and now what shall I do in order to provide for my own household also?

And Laban said, What shall I give you? And Jacob said, You shall not give me anything; if you will do for me the thing which I will tell you, I will go back to feed and keep your flock.

I will pass through all your flock today, and select for myself from it every speckled and spotted lamb, and every brown lamb, and the spotted and speckled among the goats; and of such shall be my wages.

And you know that I have worked for your father with all my strength.

Then he said, Lift up now your eyes, and see; all the rams that leap upon the sheep are speckled, spotted, and ringstreaked; for I have seen all that Laban has done to you.
