Don't be amazed at this, because the hour is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice

A large crowd kept following him because they had seen the signs that he was performing on the sick.

Jesus replied to them, "Truly, truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate the loaves and were completely satisfied.

Then the Jews[fn] began grumbling about him because he said, "I am the bread that came down from heaven."

Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will also live because of me.

If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a man perfectly well on the Sabbath?John 5:8-9,16;">[xr]

So there was a division in the crowd because of him.John 7:12; 9:16; 10:19;">[xr]

Jesus answered them, "Even though I am testifying about myself, my testimony is validtrue">[fn] because I know where I have come from and where I am going. But you do not know where I come from or where I am going.John 7:28; 9:29;">[xr]

He spoke these words in the treasury, while he was teaching in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.Mark 12:41; John 7:8,30;">[xr]

So the Jews said, "He isn't going to kill himself, is he? Is that why he said,Because he said">[fn] 'You cannot come where I am going'?"

Moreover, the one who sent me is with me. He has never left me alone because I always do what pleases him."John 4:34; 5:30; 6:38;">[xr]

"I know that you are Abraham's descendants. Yet you are trying to kill me because my word finds no reception among you.John 7:19,40;">[xr]
