Now therefore put away, [he said], the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to Yahweh, the God of Israel.

And Joshua said to all the people, Look, this stone shall be a witness against us; for it has heard all the words of Yahweh which he spoke to us: it shall therefore be a witness against you, in case you deny your God.

Therefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be [as thorns] in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare to you.

Therefore the anger of Yahweh was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the sons of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.

And they tarried until they were ashamed; and saw that he didn't open the doors of the upper room: therefore they took the key, and opened [them], and saw that their lord had fallen down dead on the earth.

Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal contend against him, because he has broken down his altar.

And Gideon said, Therefore when Yahweh has delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.

Now therefore, if you have dealt truly and uprightly, in that you have made Abimelech king, and if you have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done to him according to the deserving of his hands

Now therefore, rise up by night, you and the people that are with you, and lie in wait in the field:

Yet you have forsaken me, and served other gods: therefore I will save you no more.

And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, Therefore we have turned again to you now, that you may go with us, and fight with the sons of Ammon; and you shall be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.

And the king of the sons of Ammon answered to the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel took away my land, when he came up out of Egypt, from the Arnon even to the Jabbok, and to the Jordan: now therefore restore those [lands] again peaceably.

I therefore haven't sinned against you, but you do me wrong to war against me: Yahweh, the Judge, shall be judge this day between the sons of Israel and the sons of Ammon.

Now therefore beware, I pray you, and drink no wine nor strong drink, and don't eat any unclean thing:

And he restored the eleven hundred [pieces] of silver to his mother; and his mother said, I truly dedicate the silver to Yahweh from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it to you.

And they went up, and encamped in Kiriath-jearim, in Judah: therefore they called that place Mahaneh-dan, to this day; look, it is behind Kiriath-jearim.
