So Jehovah of Hosts says this: Because you have not obeyed My Words,

behold! I will send and take all the families of the north, says Jehovah, and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant; and I will bring them against this land, and against those living in it, and against all these nations all around. AndI will completely destroy them, and make them a horror, and a hissing, and everlasting ruins.

And I will take from them the voice of rejoicing, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.

And this whole land shall be a waste and a horror; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
