"to take counsel, to resolve," is used in the Middle Voice in the NT, "took counsel" in Acts 5:33 , AV (RV translates boulomai); both in 27:39; in Luke 14:31 , RV "take counsel" (AV, "consulteth"); in John 11:53 , AV and RV (so the best mss.); John 12:10 , RV, "took counsel," for AV, "consulted;" in 2 Corinthians 1:17 (twice), "purpose."
