(jay' uh ssyoo) Personal name meaning, “His product,” a variant spelling of Jaasiel, which the earliest Hebrew copyists noted should be pronounced differently from the printed Hebrew text. An Israelite who agreed under Ezra's leadership to divorce his foreign wife to ensure the religious purity of the nation (Ezra 11:37 ). See Jaasau .
