Rumanian artist; born at Botuschany, Rumania, June 21, 1871. At an early age he went to France and studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts under Delaunay, Bonnat, and Gérôme. He quickly made his mark as a portrait-painter, and has painted portraits, among many others, of Zadoc Kahn and Prince Kalimaki. Feld has also established a reputation as a decorator. For the Paris Exposition of 1900 he painted four panels for the Palais de la Femme: "Le Champagne," "La Bière," "Le Chocolat," and "La Liqueur."
