Saul Made King

Saul Rescues the City of Jabesh

Nahash[a](a) the Ammonite went up and besieged Jabesh Gilead.(b) And all the men of Jabesh said to him, "Make a treaty(c) with us, and we will be subject to you."

Samuel said to all Israel, "I have listened(a) to everything you said to me and have set a king(b) over you.
