The Three Visitors

The Lord appeared to Abraham(a) near the great trees of Mamre(b) while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent(c) in the heat of the day.

Once again he spoke to him, "What if only forty are found there?" He said, "For the sake of forty, I will not do it."

"Get out of our way," they replied. "This fellow came here as a foreigner,(p) and now he wants to play the judge!(q) We'll treat you worse than them." They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.
