Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent word to assemble the (c)satraps, the prefects and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates and all the rulers of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

The king called aloud to bring in the (h)conjurers, the [e]Chaldeans and the diviners. The king spoke and said to the wise men of Babylon, "Any man who can read this inscription and explain its interpretation to me shall be (i)clothed with purple and have a (j)necklace of gold around his neck, and have authority as [f](k)third ruler in the kingdom."
