Sing to the Lord , bless His name; ^(c)Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.

Tell of ^(d)His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.

For ^(e)great is the Lord and ^(f)greatly to be praised; He is to be ^(g)feared ^(h)above all gods.

For ⁽ⁱ⁾all the gods of the peoples are ^[a]idols, But ^(j)the Lord made the heavens.

^(k)Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

^[b]Ascribe to the Lord , O ^(l)families of the peoples, ^[c](m)Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

^[d]Ascribe to the Lord the ⁽ⁿ⁾glory of His name; Bring an ^[e](o)offering and come into His courts.

^(p)Worship the Lord in ^[f]holy attire; ^(q)Tremble before Him, all the earth.

Say among the nations, "^(r)The Lord reigns; Indeed, the ^(s)world is firmly established, it will not be moved; He will ^(t)judge the peoples with ^[g]equity."

Let the ^(u)heavens be glad, and let the ^(v)earth rejoice; Let ^(w)the sea ^[h]roar, and ^[i]all it contains;

Let the ^(x)field exult, and all that is in it. Then all the ^(y)trees of the forest will sing for joy

Before the Lord , ^(z)for He is coming, For He is coming to judge the earth. ^(aa)He will judge the world in righteousness And the peoples in His faithfulness.

^(a)The Lord ^[a]reigns, let the ^(b)earth rejoice; Let the many ^[b](c)islands be glad.

^(d)Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; ^(e)Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

^(f)Fire goes before Him And ^(g)burns up His adversaries round about.

His ^(h)lightnings lit up the world; The earth saw and ⁽ⁱ⁾trembled.

The mountains ^(j)melted like wax at the presence of the Lord , At the presence of the ^(k)Lord of the whole earth.

The ^(l)heavens declare His righteousness, And ^(m)all the peoples have seen His glory.

Let all those be ashamed who serve ⁽ⁿ⁾graven images, Who boast themselves of ^(o)idols; ^[c](p)Worship Him, all you ^[d]gods.

Zion ^[e]heard this and ^(q)was glad, And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced Because of Your judgments, O Lord .

For You are the Lord ^(r)Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far ^(s)above all ^[f]gods.

^(t)Hate evil, you who love the Lord , Who ^(u)preserves the souls of His godly ones; He ^(v)delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

^(w)Light is sown like seed for the righteous And ^(x)gladness for the upright in heart.

Be ^(y)glad in the Lord , you righteous ones, And ^(z)give thanks ^[g]to His holy name.

A Psalm.

O sing to the Lord a ^(a)new song, For He has done ^(b)wonderful things, His ^(c)right hand and His ^(d)holy arm have ^[a]gained the victory for Him.

^(e)The Lord has made known His salvation; He has ^(f)revealed His ^[b]righteousness in the sight of the nations.

He has ^(g)remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; ^(h)All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

⁽ⁱ⁾Shout joyfully to the Lord , all the earth; ^(j)Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.

Sing praises to the Lord with the ^(k)lyre, With the lyre and the ^[c](l)sound of melody.

With ^(m)trumpets and the sound of the horn ⁽ⁿ⁾Shout joyfully before ^(o)the King, the Lord .

Let the ^(p)sea roar and ^[d]all it contains, The ^(q)world and those who dwell in it.

Let the ^(r)rivers clap their hands, Let the ^(s)mountains sing together for joy

^(m)Moses and Aaron were among His ⁽ⁿ⁾priests, And ^(o)Samuel was among those who ^(p)called on His name; They ^(q)called upon the Lord and He answered them.

He ^(r)spoke to them in the pillar of cloud; They ^(s)kept His testimonies And the statute that He gave them.

O Lord our God, You ^(t)answered them; You were a ^(u)forgiving God to them, And yet an ^(v)avenger of their evil deeds.

Exalt the Lord our God And worship at His holy hill, For holy is the Lord our God.

A Psalm for ^[a]Thanksgiving.

^(a)Shout joyfully to the Lord , all the earth.

^(b)Serve the Lord with gladness; ^(c)Come before Him with joyful singing.

Know that ^(d)the Lord ^[b]Himself is God; It is He who has ^(e)made us, and ^[c]not we ourselves; We are ^(f)His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates ^(g)with ^[d]thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, ^(h)bless His name.

For ⁽ⁱ⁾the Lord is good; ^(j)His lovingkindness is everlasting And His ^(k)faithfulness to all generations.

A Psalm of David.

I will ^(a)sing of lovingkindness and ^[a]justice, To You, O Lord , I will sing praises.

I will ^[b](b)give heed to the ^[c]blameless way. When will You come to me? I will walk within my house in the ^[d](c)integrity of my heart.

I will set no ^(d)worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the ^[e]work of those who ^(e)fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me.

A ^(f)perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil.

Whoever secretly ^(g)slanders his neighbor, him I will ^[f]destroy; No one who has a ^(h)haughty look and an arrogant heart will I endure.

My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; He who walks in a ^[g](i)blameless way is the one who will minister to me.

He who ^(j)practices deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who speaks falsehood ^(k)shall not ^[h]maintain his position before me.

^(l)Every morning I will ^[i](m)destroy all the wicked of the land, So as to ⁽ⁿ⁾cut off from the ^(o)city of the Lord all those who do iniquity.

A Prayer of the Afflicted when he is faint and ^[a]pours out his complaint before the Lord .

^(a)Hear my prayer, O Lord ! And let my cry for help ^(b)come to You.

^(c)Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my distress; ^(d)Incline Your ear to me; In the day when I call ^(e)answer me quickly.

For my days ^(f)have been ^[b]consumed in smoke, And my ^(g)bones have been scorched like a hearth.

My heart ^(h)has been smitten like ^[c]grass and has ⁽ⁱ⁾withered away, Indeed, I ^(j)forget to eat my bread.

Because of the ^[d]loudness of my groaning My ^(k)bones ^[e]cling to my flesh.

I ^[f]resemble a ^(l)pelican of the wilderness; I have become like an owl of the waste places.

I ^(m)lie awake, I have become like a lonely bird on a housetop.

My enemies ⁽ⁿ⁾have reproached me all day long; Those who ^[g](o)deride me ^[h]have used my name as a ^(p)curse.

For I have eaten ashes like bread And ^(q)mingled my drink with weeping

^(r)Because of Your indignation and Your wrath, For You have ^(s)lifted me up and cast me away.

My days are like a ^[i](t)lengthened shadow, And ^[j]I ^(u)wither away like ^[k]grass.

But You, O Lord , ^[l](v)abide forever, And Your ^[m](w)name to all generations.

You will ^(x)arise and have ^(y)compassion on Zion; For ^(z)it is time to be gracious to her, For the ^(aa)appointed time has come.

Surely Your servants ^[n]find pleasure in her stones And feel pity for her dust.

^[o]So the ^[p](ab)nations will fear the name of the Lord And ^(ac)all the kings of the earth Your glory.

For the Lord has ^(ad)built up Zion; He has ^(ae)appeared in His glory.

He has ^(af)regarded the prayer of the ^[q]destitute And has not despised their prayer.

^[r]This will be ^(ag)written for the ^(ah)generation to come, ^[s]That ^(ai)a people yet to be created ^[t]may praise ^[u]the Lord .

For He ^(aj)looked down from His holy height; ^(ak)From heaven the Lord gazed ^[v]upon the earth,

To hear the ^(al)groaning of the prisoner, To ^(am)set free ^[w]those who were doomed to death,

That men may ^(an)tell of the name of the Lord in Zion And His praise in Jerusalem,

When ^(ao)the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord .

He has weakened my strength in the way; He has ^(ap)shortened my days.

I say, "O my God, ^(aq)do not take me away in the ^[x]midst of my days, Your ^(ar)years are throughout all generations.

"Of old You ^(as)founded the earth, And the ^(at)heavens are the work of Your hands.

"^[y]Even they will ^(au)perish, but You endure; And all of them will wear out like a garment; Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.

"But You are ^[z](av)the same, And Your years will not come to an end.

"The ^(aw)children of Your servants will continue, And their ^[aa](ax)descendants will be established before You."
