Now in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth of the month, men from the (C1)elders of Israel came to inquire of the LORD, and they sat before me.

Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

"Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel and say to them, 'This is what the Lord (F1)GOD says: "Do you yourselves come to inquire of Me? As I live," declares the Lord GOD, "(C1)I certainly will not be inquired of by you."'

on that day I swore to them, (C1)to bring them out from the land of Egypt into a land that I had (F1)selected for them, (C2)flowing with milk and honey, which is (C3)the glory of all the lands.

"But they (C1)rebelled against Me and were not willing to listen to Me; they did not throw away, each of them, the detestable things of their eyes, nor did they abandon the (C2)idols of Egypt. "Then I (F1)resolved to (C3)pour out My wrath on them, to (F2)use up My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, (C2)which, if (F1)a person (F2)follows them, then he will live by them; and they greatly profaned My (C3)Sabbaths. Then I (F3)resolved to (C4)pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them.
