The sons of Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah; these three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanitess. But Er, Judah's firstborn, was evil in the sight of the LORD, so He put him to death.
1 Chronicles 2:3
The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the Lord ; and he slew him.
His daughter-in-law Tamar bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.
1 Chronicles 2:4
And Tamar his daughter in law bore him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.
The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
1 Chronicles 2:5
The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.
The sons of Zerah were Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara; five of them in all.
1 Chronicles 2:6
And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.
The son of Carmi was Achar, the one who brought disaster on Israel by violating the ban.
1 Chronicles 2:7
And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.
The son of Ethan was Azariah.
1 Chronicles 2:8
And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.
Now the sons of Hezron who were born to him were Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai.
1 Chronicles 2:9
The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.
