Ephesians 4:7
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Therefore it says, "WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVE THE CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO PEOPLE."
Ephesians 4:8
Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
(Now this expression, "He ascended," what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?
Ephesians 4:9
(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.)
Ephesians 4:10
He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers,
Ephesians 4:11
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ;
Ephesians 4:12
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
Ephesians 4:13
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
