"I have made you an assayer and an examiner among My people, So that you may know and put their way to the test."
Jeremiah 6:27
I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
All of them are stubbornly rebellious, Going about as a slanderer; They are bronze and iron. They are, all of them, corrupt.
Jeremiah 6:28
They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.
The bellows blow fiercely, The lead is consumed by the fire; In vain the refining goes on, But the wicked are not separated.
Jeremiah 6:29
The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away.
They call them rejected silver, Because the LORD has rejected them.
Jeremiah 6:30
Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the Lord hath rejected them.
