And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
And He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the sight of people, but God knows your hearts; because that which is highly esteemed among people is detestable in the sight of God.
Luke 16:15
And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
"The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John came; since that time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
Luke 16:16
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
"But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail.
Luke 16:17
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
