And He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee; and He was teaching them on the Sabbath;

And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.

and they were amazed at His teaching, because His message was delivered with authority.

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.

In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,

And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,

"Leave us alone! What business do You have with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!"

Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.

But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet and come out of him!" And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, it came out of him without doing him any harm.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.

And amazement came upon them all, and they began talking with one another, saying, "What is this message? For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!"

And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.

And the news about Him was spreading into every locality of the surrounding region.

And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.
