Now one of the Pharisees was requesting Him to eat with him, and He entered the Pharisee's house and reclined at the table.

And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
And there was a woman in the city who was a sinner; and when she learned that He was reclining at the table in the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume,

And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, and began kissing His feet and anointing them with the perfume.

And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, "If this Man were a prophet He would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching Him, that she is a sinner!"
Luke 7:39
Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
And Jesus responded and said to him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." And he replied, "Say it, Teacher."
Luke 7:40
And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
"A moneylender had two debtors: the one owed five hundred denarii, and the other, fifty.
Luke 7:41
There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
"When they were unable to repay, he canceled the debts of both. So which of them will love him more?"
Luke 7:42
And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
Simon answered and said, "I assume the one for whom he canceled the greater debt." And He said to him, "You have judged correctly."
Luke 7:43
Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
And turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
Luke 7:44
And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
"You gave Me no kiss; but she has not stopped kissing My feet since the time I came in.
Luke 7:45
Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
"You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume.
Luke 7:46
My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
"For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but the one who is forgiven little, loves little."
Luke 7:47
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
And He said to her, "Your sins have been forgiven."
Luke 7:48
And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
And then those who were reclining at the table with Him began saying to themselves, "Who is this Man who even forgives sins?"
Luke 7:49
And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
And He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."
Luke 7:50
And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
