My son, if you will receive my words And treasure my commandments within you,
Proverbs 2:1
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
Make your ear attentive to wisdom; Incline your heart to understanding.
Proverbs 2:2
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
For if you cry out for insight, And raise your voice for understanding;
Proverbs 2:3
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures;
Proverbs 2:4
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And discover the knowledge of God.
Proverbs 2:5
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord , and find the knowledge of God.
For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 2:6
For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
