My son, do not forget my teaching, But have your heart comply with my commandments;
Proverbs 3:1
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days and years of life And peace they will add to you.
Proverbs 3:2
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
One who corrects a scoffer gets dishonor for himself, And one who rebukes a wicked person gets insults for himself.
Proverbs 9:7
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
Do not rebuke a scoffer, or he will hate you; Rebuke a wise person and he will love you.
Proverbs 9:8
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Give instruction to a wise person and he will become still wiser; Teach a righteous person and he will increase his insight.
Proverbs 9:9
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
The wise of heart will receive commands, But a babbling fool will come to ruin.
Proverbs 10:8
