There are six things that the LORD hates, Seven that are an abomination to Him:
Proverbs 6:16
These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood,
Proverbs 6:17
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,
Proverbs 6:18
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness who declares lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers.
Proverbs 6:19
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
One who conceals hatred has lying lips, And one who spreads slander is a fool.
Proverbs 10:18
He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
Truthful lips will endure forever, But a lying tongue is only for a moment.
Proverbs 12:19
The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal faithfully are His delight.
Proverbs 12:22
Lying lips are abomination to the Lord : but they that deal truly are his delight.
A righteous person hates a false statement, But a wicked person acts disgustingly and shamefully.
Proverbs 13:5
A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.
One who has a crooked mind finds nothing good, And one who is corrupted in his language falls into evil.
Proverbs 17:20
He that hath a froward heart findeth no good: and he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief.
What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar.
Proverbs 19:22
The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.
The acquisition of treasures by a lying tongue Is a fleeting vapor, the pursuit of death.
Proverbs 21:6
The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.
A lying tongue hates those it crushes, And a flattering mouth works ruin.
Proverbs 26:28
A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
