Go to the ant, you lazy one, Observe its ways and be wise,
Proverbs 6:6
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Which, having no chief, Officer, or ruler,
Proverbs 6:7
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
Prepares its food in the summer And gathers its provision in the harvest.
Proverbs 6:8
Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
How long will you lie down, you lazy one? When will you arise from your sleep?
Proverbs 6:9
How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
"A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest,"
Proverbs 6:10
Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
Then your poverty will come in like a drifter, And your need like an armed man.
Proverbs 6:11
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
Poor is one who works with a lazy hand, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.
Proverbs 10:4
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
He who gathers in summer is a son who acts wisely, But he who sleeps in harvest is a son who acts shamefully.
