"The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride, arrogance, the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I hate.
Proverbs 8:13
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
When pride comes, then comes dishonor; But with the humble there is wisdom.
Proverbs 11:2
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife, But wisdom is with those who receive counsel.
