I was glad when they said to me, "Let's go to the house of the LORD."
Psalms 122:1
I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord .
Our feet are standing Within your gates, Jerusalem,
Psalms 122:2
Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
Jerusalem, that has been built As a city that is firmly joined together;
Psalms 122:3
Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
To which the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD— An ordinance for Israel— To give thanks to the name of the LORD.
Psalms 122:4
Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord , unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord .
For thrones were set there for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.
Psalms 122:5
For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you.
Psalms 122:6
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
"May peace be within your walls, And prosperity within your palaces."
Psalms 122:7
Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, "May peace be within you."
Psalms 122:8
For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good.
Psalms 122:9
Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.
