Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.

The Lord God , who gathers the outcasts of Israel, declares, "I will gather yet others to him besides those already gathered."

Yet they seek me daily and delight to know my ways, as if they were a nation that did righteousness and did not forsake the judgment of their God; they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God.

Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.

Yet I planted you a choice vine, wholly of pure seed. How then have you turned degenerate and become a wild vine?

Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

Also on your skirts is found the lifeblood of the guiltless poor; you did not find them breaking in. Yet in spite of all these things

Therefore the showers have been withheld, and the spring rain has not come; yet you have the forehead of a whore; you refuse to be ashamed.

She saw that for all the adulteries of that faithless one, Israel, I had sent her away with a decree of divorce. Yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but she too went and played the whore.

Yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to me with her whole heart, but in pretense, declares the Lord ."

For thus says the Lord , "The whole land shall be a desolation; yet I will not make a full end.

Though they say, "As the Lord lives," yet they swear falsely.

Yet they did not listen to me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did worse than their fathers.

Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but everyone walked in the stubbornness of his evil heart. Therefore I brought upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did not."

Righteous are you, O Lord , when I complain to you; yet I would plead my case before you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all who are treacherous thrive?

Why should you be like a man confused, like a mighty warrior who cannot save? Yet you, O Lord , are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name; do not leave us."

Then the Lord said to me, "Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my heart would not turn toward this people. Send them out of my sight, and let them go!

She who bore seven has grown feeble; she has fainted away; her sun went down while it was yet day; she has been shamed and disgraced. And the rest of them I will give to the sword before their enemies, declares the Lord ."

Woe is me, my mother, that you bore me, a man of strife and contention to the whole land! I have not lent, nor have I borrowed, yet all of them curse me.
