"Yet I will restore the fortunes of Moab in days to come," declares the Lord . Here ends the judgment on Moab.

"Yet afterward, I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites," declares the Lord .

"Yet I will restore the fortunes of Elam in days to come," declares the Lord .

Yet their Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is his name. He will vigorously defend their cause so that he may bring rest to their land, but unrest to those who live in Babylon.

"The Lord is righteous, yet I rebelled against his command. Listen, all you peoples; look on my suffering. My young men and young women have gone into exile.

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:

Let him bury his face in the dust— there may yet be hope.

Yet in her wickedness she has rebelled against my laws and decrees more than the nations and countries around her. She has rejected my laws and has not followed my decrees.

"Therefore say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.'

Yet there will be some survivors—sons and daughters who will be brought out of it. They will come to you, and when you see their conduct and their actions, you will be consoled regarding the disaster I have brought on Jerusalem—every disaster I have brought on it.

I will set my face against them. Although they have come out of the fire, the fire will yet consume them. And when I set my face against them, you will know that I am the Lord .

I made you grow like a plant of the field. You grew and developed and entered puberty. Your breasts had formed and your hair had grown, yet you were stark naked.

Yet I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.

But the king rebelled against him by sending his envoys to Egypt to get horses and a large army. Will he succeed? Will he who does such things escape? Will he break the treaty and yet escape?

He despised the oath by breaking the covenant. Because he had given his hand in pledge and yet did all these things, he shall not escape.

"Yet you ask, ‘Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?' Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live.

"Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.' Hear, you Israelites: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

Yet the Israelites say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.' Are my ways unjust, people of Israel? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

"‘Yet the people of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They did not follow my decrees but rejected my laws—by which the person who obeys them will live—and they utterly desecrated my Sabbaths. So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and destroy them in the wilderness.

Yet I looked on them with pity and did not destroy them or put an end to them in the wilderness.
