He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh: therefore it is said, Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before Yahweh.

And Yahweh came down to see the city and the tower, which the sons of man built.

And Yahweh said, Look, they are one people, and they all have one language; and this is what they begin to do: and now nothing will be withheld from them, which they purpose to do.

So Yahweh scattered them abroad from there on the face of all the earth: and they left off building the city.

Therefore the name of it was called Babel; because there Yahweh confounded the language of all the earth: and from there Yahweh scattered them abroad on the face of all the earth.

Now Yahweh said to Abram, Get out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, to the land that I will show you:

So Abram went, as Yahweh had spoken to him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

And Yahweh appeared to Abram, and said, To your seed I will give this land: and there he built an altar to Yahweh, who appeared to him.

And he removed from there to the mountain on the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having Beth-el on the west, and Ai on the east: and there he built an altar to Yahweh, and called on the name of Yahweh.

And Yahweh plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.

to the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of Yahweh.

And Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the Plain of the Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere, before Yahweh destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of Yahweh, like the land of Egypt, as you go to Zoar.

Now the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners against Yahweh exceedingly.

And Yahweh said to Abram, after Lot was separated from him, Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward:

And Abram moved his tent, and came and dwelt by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built there an altar to Yahweh.

And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand to Yahweh, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,

After these things the word of Yahweh came to Abram in a vision, saying, Don't be afraid, Abram: I am your shield, [and] your exceeding great reward.

And Abram said, O Lord Yahweh, what will you give me, seeing I go childless, and the son of the inheritance of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?

And, look, the word of Yahweh came to him, saying, This man shall not be your heir; But he that shall come forth out of inside you shall be your heir.

And he believed in Yahweh; and he reckoned it to him for righteousness.
