"Tell the Israelites: You must observe My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you will know that I am Yahweh who sets you apart.

He said, "I will cause all My goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim the name Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."

The Lord came down in a cloud, stood with him there, and proclaimed His name Yahweh.

Then the Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed: Yahweh—Yahweh is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth,

You are never to bow down to another god because Yahweh, being jealous by nature, is a jealous God.

For I am Yahweh your God, so you must consecrate yourselves and be holy because I am holy. You must not defile yourselves by any swarming creature that crawls on the ground.

For I am Yahweh, who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God, so you must be holy because I am holy.

Yahweh spoke to Moses:

"Speak to the Israelites and tell them: I am Yahweh your God.

You are to practice My ordinances and you are to keep My statutes by following them; I am Yahweh your God.

Keep My statutes and ordinances; a person will live if he does them. I am Yahweh.

"You are not to come near any close relative for sexual intercourse; I am Yahweh.

"You are not to make any of your children pass through the fire to Molech. Do not profane the name of your God; I am Yahweh.

You must keep My instruction to not do any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them; I am Yahweh your God."

"Speak to the entire Israelite community and tell them: Be holy because I, Yahweh your God, am holy.

"Each of you is to respect his mother and father. You are to keep My Sabbaths; I am Yahweh your God.

Do not turn to idols or make cast images of gods for yourselves; I am Yahweh your God.

You must not strip your vineyard bare or gather its fallen grapes. Leave them for the poor and the foreign resident; I am Yahweh your God.

You must not swear falsely by My name, profaning the name of your God; I am Yahweh.

You must not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but you are to fear your God; I am Yahweh.
