When Micaiah, the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard all the Words of Jehovah out of the book,

then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's room. And, behold, all the rulers were sitting there, Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, andZedekiah, the son of Hananiah, and all the rulers.

And Micaiah declared to them all the words that he had heard when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.

And all the rulers sent Jehudi, the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, Take the scroll in your hand, in which you have read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch, the son of Neriah, took thescroll in his hand and came to them.

And they said to him, Sit down now and read it in our ears. So Baruch read in their ears.

And it happened, when they had heard all the Words, they turned each man to his companion in fear. And they said to Baruch, We will surely tell all these words to the king.

And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, how did you write all these words? From his mouth?

And Baruch said to them, He spoke all these words to me from his mouth, and I wrote with ink on the book.

And the rulers said to Baruch, Go, hide yourselves, you and Jeremiah; and do not let any man know where you are.
