1. Term used by some modern translations (NAS, NRSV) for the main room of the Temple between the vestibule and the holy of holies (1Kings 6:3,1Kings 6:5,1 Kings 6:17; 1 Kings 7:50; 2Chronicles 3:4-5,2 Chronicles 3:13; 2 Chronicles 4:22 ). KJV referred to this room as the temple or house. See Temple. 2. KJV used nave for the center of a wheel through which an axle passes (1 Kings 7:33 ). Modern translations render the underlying Hebrew as rim.
