Rabbi in Tunis at the end of the eighteenth century died in 1776. He is the author of "Mishḥa de-Rabuta" (Oil of Anointing), a work containing notes on Joseph Caro's "Shulḥan 'Aruk" (Leghorn, 1805). He was assisted by his two learned sons, Solomon (d. 1801) and Ḥayyim (d. 1783), the former being the author of a similar work, "Kerub Mimshaḥ" (The Anointed Cherub), Leghorn, 1859, fol.
