I can't confirm any rumors. I'm happy doing what I'm doing. I have no interest in going back to coaching.

I love to promote our sport. I love grass-roots tennis. I love coaching. I love all parts of the sport. I love the business side.

I always stressed that I didn't have coaching experience, but that I did have a deadline: June 9.

And I would be the first to admit that probably, in a lot of press conferences over the time that I have been in coaching, indulging my own sense of humor at press conferences has not been greatly to my benefit.

Well, I think it's pretty much established that I just didn't have any interest in coaching in the pros.

My father's coaching Misha and I just might help from time to time.

But the problem with coaching is that it is a full-time job. By that I mean for at least 40 weeks in a year you have to be with the player, either travelling or training. Right now I don't want to do that.

Coaching helps you take stock of where you are now in all aspects of your life, and how that compares to where you would like to be.

I did a few more plays, and then I went to L.A., because I knew I could get a coaching job there.

All coaching is, is taking a player where he can't take himself.

Coaching really is an individual philosophy.

Failure is good. It's fertilizer. Everything I've learned about coaching, I've learned from making mistakes.

I find young kids. I enjoy coaching and enjoy making them better players.

If I were going to stay in coaching, I would have stayed right there because I was totally happy.

I was still enjoying coaching, but there was a repetitious manner about it.

I think what coaching is all about, is taking players and analyzing there ability, put them in a position where they can excel within the framework of the team winning. And I hope that I've done that in my 33 years as a head coach.

Well my thoughts on American swimming are that our prospects look favorable, but we may not have as strong a showing in the gold medal count as in previous Olympics. But I am not coaching.

So I don't really believe that how many years you've had in the league determines how well your players play... Coaching is coaching.

I think I've got an outstanding defensive assistant staff that's really going to help us have consistent, strong defenses. And offensively, we have an excellent staff. We've got some younger guys on offense, but that's what I coach and have my entire coaching career.

At the same time, it makes me feel like I have to prove myself to the new guys coming in as well as prove myself to the coaching staff, which is a good bit of motivation for me.
