Yet the land shall be desolate because of those that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.

Yahweh is a jealous God and avenges; Yahweh avenges and is full of wrath; Yahweh takes vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserves [wrath] for his enemies.

They come all of them for violence; the set of their faces is forwards; and they gather captives as the sand.

Yes, he scoffs at kings, and princes are a derision to him; he derides every stronghold; for he heaps up dust, and takes it.

Are not you from everlasting, O Yahweh my God, my Holy One? we shall not die. O Yahweh, you have appointed him for judgment; and you, O Rock, have established him for correction.

For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and shall not lie: though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.
