The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness And speak no lies, Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; For they shall feed their flocks and lie down, And no one shall make them afraid."

Behold, at that time I will deal with all who afflict you; I will save the lame, And gather those who were driven out; I will appoint them for praise and fame In every land where they were put to shame.

At that time I will bring you back, Even at the time I gather you; For I will give you fame and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I return your captives before your eyes," Says the LORD.

"Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple Haggai 1:8">[fn] to lie in ruins?"

"You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?" says the LORD of hosts. "Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house.

For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands."

Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,' says the LORD; "and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land,' says the LORD, "and work; for I am with you,' says the LORD of hosts.

"For thus says the LORD of hosts: "Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land;

"In that day,' says the LORD of hosts, "I will take you, Zerubbabel My servant, the son of Shealtiel,' says the LORD, "and will make you like a signet ring; for I have chosen you,' says the LORD of hosts."

So the angel who spoke with me said to me, "Proclaim, saying, "Thus says the LORD of hosts: "I am zealous for Jerusalem And for Zion with great zeal.

I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; For I was a little angry, And they helped--but with evil intent."

For I,' says the LORD, "will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst."'

"Up, up! Flee from the land of the north," says the LORD; "for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven," says the LORD.

For thus says the LORD of hosts: "He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.

For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me.

"Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst," says the LORD.

Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!"

"Hear, O Joshua, the high priest, You and your companions who sit before you, For they are a wondrous sign; For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH.

For behold, the stone That I have laid before Joshua: Upon the stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its inscription,' Says the LORD of hosts, "And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth."
