Therefore wait for me, says Yahweh, until the day that I rise up to the prey; for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour on them my indignation, even all my fierce anger; for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

For then I will turn to the peoples of a pure language, that they may all call on the name of Yahweh, to serve him with one consent.

In that day you shall not be put to shame for all your doings, wherein you have transgressed against me; for then I will take away out of the midst of you your proudly exulting ones, and you shall no more be haughty in my holy mountain.

The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

I will gather those that sorrow for the solemn assembly, who were of you; [to whom] the burden on her was a reproach.

At that time I will bring you in, at the time when I will gather you; for I will make you a name and a praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I bring back your captivity before your eyes, says Yahweh.

Thus speaks Yahweh of hosts, saying, This people say, It is not the time [for us] to come, the time for Yahweh's house to be built.

Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your ceiled houses, while this house lies waste?

You looked for much, and, look, it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew on it. Why? says Yahweh of hosts. Because of my house that lies waste, while you run every man to his own house.

And I called for a drought on the land, and on the mountains, and on the grain, and on the new wine, and on the oil, and on that which the ground brings forth, and on man, and on cattle, and on all the labor of the hands.

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says Yahweh; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says Yahweh, and work: for I am with you, says Yahweh of hosts,

For this is what Yahweh of Hosts says: Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

In that day, says Yahweh of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel, my slave, the son of Shealtiel, says Yahweh, and will make you as a signet; for I have chosen you, says Yahweh of hosts.

So the angel that talked with me said to me, Cry out, saying, Thus says Yahweh of hosts: I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

And I am very intensely displeased with the nations that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.

For I, says Yahweh, will be to her a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her.

Ho, ho, flee from the land of the north, says Yahweh; for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, says Yahweh.

For this is what Yahweh of Hosts says: After glory he has sent me to the nations which plundered you; for he that touches you touches the apple of my eye.

For, look, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall be a spoil to their slaves; and you shall know that Yahweh of hosts has sent me.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for, look, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of you, says Yahweh.
