Elijah said to him, "Elisha, please stay here because Yahweh has sent me to Jericho." And he said, "As Yahweh lives and as your soul lives, I will certainly not leave you!" So they came to Jericho.

Then the sons of the prophets who were in Jericho came near to Elisha, and they said to him, "Do you know that Yahweh is going to take your master from you today?" He said, "I also know; be quiet!"

When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho saw him from the other side, they declared, "The spirit of Elijah rests upon Elisha," and they came to meet him and bowed down to him to the ground.

Then they returned to him while he was staying in Jericho. He said to them, "Did I not tell you not to go?"

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and they overtook him in the Arabah of Jericho, and all of his army scattered from him.

Now it happened that as he drew near to Jericho, a certain blind man was sitting on the side of the road begging.

And he entered and traveled through Jericho.

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been marched around for seven days.
